PPS provides concrete grinding services across Sydney, Western Sydney and NSW. Grinding may be suitable for correcting surface irregularities or preparing concrete for the next finish. Send site details and photographs so suitability can be discussed.
Grinding rough and uneven concrete
The required result depends on the condition of the slab and what will be installed or used over it. Discuss rough concrete surfaces, uneven areas and local high spots with PPS. Grinding removes material; it does not fill low areas or resolve ongoing slab movement.
Choose preparation for the intended finish
Tell us whether the concrete will remain exposed or receive a coating, topping, adhesive or floor covering. Provide the relevant product or project specification where available. The required surface profile and material condition help determine whether grinding or another preparation method is appropriate. See our scarifying and floor grinding services for related preparation enquiries.
Rain-damaged surfaces need assessment
Where rain has affected a concrete surface, the extent and condition of the damage should be assessed before choosing a treatment. Grinding may be one option, but it should not be assumed to correct deeper defects. Provide photographs, the age of the concrete and any available inspection or construction records.
Plan your grinding enquiry
Include the approximate floor area, site location, access restrictions and your required programme. Note nearby occupied areas, available power and any requirements for dust control, noise or working hours. Discuss these arrangements and the finish expectations before the work is scheduled. Where low areas require building up, concrete levelling may be relevant.
